More than four million people traveled through McCarran International Airport during March, a 5.5 percent increase over March a year ago.
It was the airport’s best March total in eight years. For the first three months of 2016, McCarran is 7.1 percent ahead of last year with more than 11 million people using the airport.
The increase was again paced by domestic travel during March. Passenger counts during the month included 3.7 million domestic travelers, a 6.2 percent increase over the same 2015 period, International totals were 1 percent lower at 285,046.
Southwest was again the market leader, posting a 2.4 percent increase to 1.6 million travelers.
