More than four million airline passengers passed through McCarran International Airport during May, making it the best May performance since 2007, according to the Clark County Department of Aviation.
The nation’s ninth-busiest airport saw an overall 3.9 percent increase in departing and arriving passengers.
Domestic flights drove most of the growth at McCarran, while international travel saw an increase for the first time in several months. More than 3.7 million airline passengers boarded or left on domestic flights last month, a 4.2 percent jump from a year earlier.
International flights arriving or departing McCarran carried 324,174 travelers in May, a 2.6 increase from a year earlier.
